Week Intensives

Short-Term In-Person Therapy for Non-Profit Workers

You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.

Intensive Therapy

Short-Term intensive therapy focuses on the present. Unlike longer-term therapy, much less time will be spent looking into the past. Therapy will be solution-focused and goal-oriented. Research has shown this type of therapy to be effective for many mental health concerns. In many cases, we may decide to continue therapy virtually after your week intensive for follow-up or continued care. The goal of the intensive week is to get you to a place where you can function enough to return home with new tools and insight.

When Intensive Therapy Is Not the Best Option

Intensive short-term therapy is not recommended for bipolar disorder, eating disorders, schizophrenia, psychosis, drug and alcohol addiction, other severe psychopathologies. Intensive therapy is also not recommended for children or adults with reduced mental capacities. For any of these issues, contact me so we can discuss better options for you.

How It Works

Sessions will take place at Restoration’s office in Nantes at the Chateau Bois Briand. This tranquil, beautiful setting in a restored fifteenth century chateau is surrounded by gardens and is a quiet, peaceful place to begin your healing.

We will work together before your arrival and during the first session to determine the best number of sessions for you. We can typically do two morning sessions and two afternoon sessions. For couples, sessions may be a combination of individual and joint sessions throughout the day.
